I am using the Haynes manual but the diagrams in there are poo and i have bad learning difficulties with reading. Im looking for diagrams that show almost the complete dismantling to a 307 1.6 hdi engine.. i know it shounds like a lot to ask for but i could do with them to help me with numbering parts as i take them off etc. Thanks yall.

HP pump requires >0.8 bar fuel feed supply to open internal valve that allows HP pump to operate (pressure derived from in tank pump or intermal low pressure pump). <0.8 bar HP pump will recirculate fuel to lubricate it self. When cranking the ECU will not attempt any injection with a fuel pressure <200 bar.

Within the last couple of weeks I find that on switching the engine off a continuing whirring noise emanates from the engine and lasts for 6 secs approx. The noise is either the A/C or cooling fan or may be, but I doubt it, the turbo. Does the whirring noise wind down or does it just stop. As you say it is strange that the garage diagnosed this as a DMF problem. Perhaps the garage were looking for the whirring but noticed the dreaded DMF rattle when turning off so there may be two faults and a communication problem.
